Research on bio-based polyamide nylon keeps up with the development

Polyamide (PA66 modified, PA610, PA612, PA12, PA1010, PA1012, nylon modified, reinforced nylon, flame retardant nylon), commonly known as nylon, when used as fiber in my country, it is called nylon, which means that the main chain of the molecule contains A class of polymers with amide bonds (-NH-C(O)-). Since industrialization, polyamide has been widely used in textiles, automobiles, electronic appliances, packaging, sports products and so on.
Research on bio-based polyamides is closely following that of petroleum-based polyamides. In the 1950s, French company Arkema used castor oil as a raw material to synthesize fully bio-based polyamide PA11.
Among the bio-based polyamide products that have been commercialized at present, there are mainly PA1010, PA11, PA610, PA410, etc. In addition, a variety of bio-based polyamides are being developed.
